Hives and no sleep

Hannah is just miserable. There is not much we can do to relive the itching. Benedryl and oatmeal baths are only temporary relief. If she scrathes she gets new hives and it is like starting all over again. It is not easy to get a 5 year old whose body is itchy and on fire to not scratch or rub. She can’t sleep well and so no one is sleeping well. She cries and is always telling us she itches and wants relief. It is sad and frustrating at the same time. She knows there is only so much we can do so that is frustrating but it is so sad to see your child in such misery and you cannot relieve it.

After doing more reading we are just not sure how long this will go on. It can be a few days to 6 weeks and with my mom it was 2 years. She cannot really go outside for long, get hot or sweaty so our summer so far looks like we will be in doors.
