Fruit Flies…

Interesting creatures they are….
So, not sure why we seem to have an abundance of fruit flies right now but I am quit annoyed with them.
So I mixed up a lil home remedy for those lil guys. Althouh I was not sure if they would dive right in or take their sweet time I am fascinated by the apprehension they seem to have.
So on my counter sits a mug half full of apple cider vinegar and 2 drops of dish washing liquid. They are very attracted to it but they hang out on the rim FOREVER, as if they are scared to go in. Maybe they see their dead friends floating and can’t figure out why…needless to say a day later we still have some flies buggin around and who seem to be a bit leary of what is in the cup.
Why can’t they be like ants and march right on into the trap?!

put a glass of red wine on the counter…. it is a great trap! it doesn’t have to have much in it either…

I’ve heard the wine thing, too. If no bugs dive in, you can always drink it!

I don’t know how long I could look at a glass of red wine and not partake!!
    🙂
Good luck with the little buggers.
