Annual Christmas Dinner Party

This year was our second annual dinner party. It has become the party to attend….everyone looks forward to it and I,of course, have such a blast planning it.

Last year we dined on the deck. This year we had to move it indoors due to weather. At first I was not happy with that but it turned out great and it looked great as well. The party favors were a bottle of wine and a cookbook I made with pictures from last year and this years recipes.

Everything was homemade and everyone loved the food and the wine. The menu for the night consisted of…

Appetizers; prosciutto wrapped green bean bundles, Fillet of beef top with horseradish creme fraiche, baked brie with cranberries & apples.

Dinner: Pecan crusted goat cheese salad, basil stuffed chicken, potato boats, sautéed green beans with almonds & garlic

Dessert: Red Velvet cake, cafe au Lait cheesecake, with homemade hot cocoa, coffee, and wassail.

After dinner we played a few games…the riot was the rope puzzle. Wrists are tied together and you are intertwined with your spouse. You must break free without removing the rope.

It was so fun, a night full of great friends and lots of laughter! Here are some highlights in pictures!

AGH!!! I forgot to set the place cards before taking the picture!
