50th Day of School

Each year in kindergarten they celebrate the 50th day and the 100th day of school.

Last week we reached day 50 and so they have a celebration 1950’s Sock Hop Style. Along with a lil fun party they also do their lessons around the number 50.

Things like writing in their journal what they would buy with $50, writing 50 words, counting and all kinds of math with the number 50.

Kids are encouraged to dress up 50’s style and Joshua’s teacher really gets into it! At the party they liked a Tootsie Roll Pop 50 times, learned how to blow bubble with Super Bubble Bubble Gum, played Twister, hop scotch, danced to 50 ‘s music, hula hooped and enjoyed root beer floats. Joshua loved it all!
